Kaspersky Total Security 2016 Full

Pros
One of the best detection engines around: Kaspersky's virus and malware scanner is fast and extremely accurate, and it doesn't bog your system down.

Browser protection: Kaspersky can help protect your browser from unwanted changes, such as malware attempting to change your start page or cookie settings.

Blocking unwanted software: Some programs may bundle other unwanted apps during installation that can do questionable things in Windows, and now Kaspersky can help filter the bad stuff out.

Lots of explanation available: The app doesn't rely on buzzwords to convince you that it's performing important functions. Total Security's functions are explained in the client and sometimes on a supplementary support page on Kaspersky's website.

Control scan settings: If you like to control how and when your security app scans your computer, you'll find a high degree of customization available in the scanner settings. Or you can just let Total Security do its thing.

Cons
Vulnerability scanner needs more info: In a few cases in our tests, clicking the Details button in the vulnerability scanner's results just pointed us to the front page of kaspersky.com or securelist.com (a company-run security news website), rather than leading us to an explanation of the specific issue.

Digital Asset Protection is usually done better elsewhere: The tools specific to the Total Security version of Kaspersky are nice to have, but there are third-party tools that frequently do the job better, and they don't become inaccessible if you let your Kaspersky subscription lapse. For example, LastPass and Dashlane have more functionality than Total Security's password manager. Total Security's online data backup integration is limited to Dropbox, whereas we would recommend something more secure, like SOS Online Backup. And CCleaner is a more informative junk-file deleter.

Bottom Line
Kaspersky Total Security is one of the most robust, informative, and configurable antimalware suites on the market. However, most users should be fine with the less expensive Internet Security version, opting to use dedicated third-party products for things like password security and online data backup.
